Summer has flown by and it is almost the beginning of the new school year, which also means that the beginning of Faith Formation is not far behind.  Registered families will receive letters with details this week!

Grades 1 – 8 ( Tuesday & Wednesday)

At the first session, children and parents will gather in the Parish Life Center promptly at your scheduled session time (4:45 pm OR 6:30 pm).  We will begin with prayer, some introductions, and then we will dismiss the children and catechists to their classrooms.  While the children are in their sessions, there will be a parent meeting to go over the policies and procedures of our program.  At least one parent must attend one of these meetings.  You will be filling out a card with emergency contact information; please come prepared to fill it out and hand it in before leaving.  After the meeting, you will have the chance to go and visit your children’s classrooms and meet the catechists.  Room assignments will be listed on the parent packet that you will receive as you check in at the beginning of the evening.

NOTE #1: Due to the parent meeting and the expectation that a parent will be present, there will be no car line for the first session on August 29 and 30.

Children’s Faith Formation: Catechist, Assistants, Substitutes & Helpers

Any adult can be a catechist, assistant catechist, or substitute. High school youth can be helpers in various capacities.   He or she must be actively living the Catholic Faith, eager to learn more about it, and willing to share it!
