Thank you for sharing the Lord’s blessings!

Last week we had a special collection to assist our brothers and sisters in the Bahamas who were severely impacted by hurricane Dorian.  We collected a total of $36,400  for The Diocese of Orlando 2019 Disaster Relief fund.  Thank you!

Message from Bishop Noonan:

The Lord is our refuge!  We praise God that the predicted deadly destruction of Hurricane Dorian spared us.  We also know that this season of storms is just begun.  We are called to assist our brothers and sisters in the Bahamas and those who may be faced with the loss of their worldly possessions or economic livelihood.  The isolation and fear caused by disasters can be overwhelming.  We can bring them comfort as the body of Christ.

We will have a Special Second collection, 2019 Disasters Collection, on September 14th & 15th to support the efforts of Catholic Charities USA and/or Catholic Relief Services. They are the official relief agencies of the U.S. Catholic Church.  Their local agencies respond to immediate emergency needs for such necessities as:
~Water
~Food
~Shelter
~Medical care
~Aid in long-term rebuilding
~Recovery efforts
~Pastoral and reconstruction needs of the Church

In every age, Lord, You have been our refuge.  May we serve as His refuge for those in need.
