God is good!
This past Saturday, August 1st, close to 200 children in our community received backpacks are filled with supplies and a family meal which were kindly donated from local sponsors, businesses and churches, including our Parish at Most Precious Blood, to help them get ready to start the new school year.

In years past we have asked for donations of school supplies to support the efforts of HOPE Helps for this event.  Due to the current situation, we did not be collect school supplies here at the parish.  Most Precious Blood has made a generous contribution to HOPE Helps Inc. to help ensure they are able to support the back to school needs of the children in our community.

Each year, HOPE staff and hundreds of volunteers host the Back to School Bash for registered clients with the help of local businesses and churches who sponsor the event and host donation boxes. At the Back to School Bash, children are given everything they need to start their first day of school. During this event, children receive backpacks, pencils, pens, glue, notebooks, paper, socks, underwear, jeans, and more. In addition to these items, clients get to enjoy a day of fun with games for the kids, lunch for the whole family, balloon animals, face painting, and access to additional resources.

HOPE offered a 2020 Modified Kids of HOPE Back to School Bash. They took many precautions to ensure  clients and volunteers were safe.  Masks covering both the nose & mouth were required and gloves were be provided for the positions that need them. Closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing for indoor/outdoor positions. Sanitizers was be placed all around the event and social distancing will be instituted.
